This is a planter unit from a Farmall Cub. If you'll look in the third picture, the two little gears on the left were to take slack out of the drive chain as it came from the drive sprocket. The Cubs were driven from the right bull gear (seated), and the A's were driven from the left. I don't think this will fit your A. The mounting bolt holes are probably too close together on the pad and too close from the pad to the rear bolt at the drive sprocket. A's are bigger tractors, so things will be farther apart.
