It finally stopped raining here this afternoon and I stopped by the tractor shed and got the hook off of my 1953 Super C. It is made from 3/8" (.375") round stock as I checked it with a micrometer. It is 22.25" in length overall, the handle is 4.75" wide by 2.00" deep and the hook end is 1.75" wide with the open end part pointing back toward the handle 1.00" where it was cut off. All of these dimensions are from outside to outside of the rod material. Also, the hook end is 90 degrees to the handle so it fits under the forward bracket on the touch control assembly when the handle is oriented in a vertical position at the rear when in the spring latch clip on the instrument panel box.
