If pump is the early style with bolt on advance block there are several places they can leak, may be best to reseal the complete pump. Early housings had no steel throttle bushings, but can be repaired with bushings if needed. Drive shaft pilot tube may need replaced if shaft seals have worn deep grooves inside also.
