my son bought a 460 ,tried to change points ,cap ,wires , and plugs. now it wont start and it back fires. i also have a 460, i checked to make sure the wires were in the correct order and they are, he didnt move the timing but i wanted to check it anyway, i cant find any marks on his pully, mine has tdc and marks out to 10 deg that i can see . anyone have any info or ideas ? the tune up kit that he bought had points that didnt match the ones already in the tractor, the stationary side of the point isnt just a right angle piece, it also rolls to the right and the condensor is the larger one. i looked at a spare kit i keep for mine and its the same way but when i looked at the ones in my tractor there the same as my sons with the smaller condensor and just the right angle point. we put the original points back in for now just to get it running again. thanks for any input
