A few things come to mind. First are you sure your cap is good? Second are you running on 6 volts or 12 volts and using a resistor? If using a resistor unhook it and see if that makes a difference. I would lay my money on you have a bad condensor though. Although it may be new dosen't mean it works. With your points closed and the switch on, with a screwdriver open and close them and see if you get a good spark jumping across. If so it might be your cap. Make sure the button in the cap on the bottom of the coil wire post is good. I had that BB looking thing come out on mine and it drove me nuts until I looked at the obvious and found it. Let us know what you find. I am sure others will have better advice, but this may be somewhere to start. Bill {Antique Acres}
