Solenoid type starter set up??? If yes I have seen that more then once over the years and if it has a mag and you left the gas on yes it could start on it own. Have a D-17 A/C that one day I was working on my truck when I heard with sounded like an engine trying to start and figured I had to run a trespasser off but found that the D-17 was spinning over on it over.
