M Wide front axle

Can someone help here. I have found two different paople that wants to sell me a wide front axle for my Super M but both came off later tractors with six bolt front hubs and wheels. Are the M hubs interchangable with these so I can use my original wheels or is there some else I need to know. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike
