THere is a procedure for doing this .THe valves are closed when they are adjusted . Number 1 cyl . At tdc can be gapped . THen turn the engine backwards 1/2 revolution . And do the next cylinder according to fireing order . And the next ...
You will have to run the tractor a few hours and retorque the head . And readjust your valves . If there is no gap for the valves the valves will be open all the time .
