Bill you probably have got it started by now,with all the good suggestion that you have gotten.If you are sure that you have spark,the timing is right,it is getting gas, the valves are set right you might want to try this.Take out the spark plugs and put a few spirts of motor oil into each cylinder then turn the engine over a few times before putting the plugs back in.This will help seal the compression rings if the cylinder walls are to dry.This has worked for me on new overhauls.Best of luck.
