Hi Dave, when you mentioned Heisler, I got excited and hurried back to the shop and finished wrenching it on. Started it up, and it was like a different tractor. Excellent throttle response from low to high range. If I throttle it down too far it will actually die. Not at all like before. I'm happy now, and can rest and not be worried about it anymore. Like, how do you spell relief. lol The person who last adjusted it must have really known what he was doing.
The funny part about all of this is I bought the governor on ebay for $9.99 plus free shipping back in February. I don't know how it is now, but back then it was a buyers market for used governors, as bunches were being offered. I put it on my watch list, and noticed that no one else wanted to bid on it, due to I guess it's ugly dirty oily appearance. I held back till the last 30 minutes, then pulled the trigger on it, and no one challenged it. I'm thinking the seller really didn't know what he had there.
