For a tractor I was going to raffle or sell: I would simply use the silver aluminum paint that you can find literally anywhere. As it will look the closest to what is generally accepted.
That said, I do not like how the silver aluminum paint wears at all and especially how it leaves your hand dirty if you touch it. For my tractors that I plan to keep and use for 30 years or more then I am now using plain ole Rustoleum stops rust "Pewter Gray". No it is not a perfect match but it is much more durable finish and a close enough match for my ole Farmall junkers. A silver argent rim color would likely be an even closer match but I can not find any at any of the cheap discount store prices (athough I have found it at higher prices at specialty places), but none of the silver rim paint has the "stops rust" stuff that I typically need as well.
So Rustoleum Pewter Gray it is for me - cheap, stops rust, durable, and close enough match for me.

The General GG was made by the Cleveland Tractor Company (Cletrac) of Cleveland, Ohio. Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
