Think it was 1948 when the first M&W product the M 9 speed was started. In 1950 or after is when the products they started offering was expanding. Never saw one of the pumps without the dual bolt pattern. That doesn't mean 100% it didn't happen. To check for a dual mounting flange all that's needed is to remove the top outside mounting bolt to see. Even if the holes are not slotted it wouldn't be much trouble to slot with that mounting flange. Also I can see the ID plate on the pump and it would have the pump ID number if readable. Pumps IH used do have one advantage, they are shorter than the pump shown. IH distributor will work in the standard location.
