OldF20, I hear ya. I am talking about parts suppliers here in Pa. I am looking for a late F20 long block. All I care about is that it is not cracked. Best price I have found so far near me is $400. Maybe if I come out to RPRU, you and I can hook up. I might buy some of your "stock" and bring it back east.
I have always said that price on these old tractors depends upon what location you are in. I truly don't disagree with what some guys post here, but it always seems when I need a part or parts, all the "cheap" stuff out west kills me with shipping...........so I end up paying the higher prices around here and it is a wash $$$ wise.
I truly wish I could take a week and come out to Iowa, SD, Idaho, Neb. Etc and buy up 8-10 F series and bring them back home. The problem out east here is the wet climate. Everything is rotted out.......or cracked up from freezing. PA farmers must have been lazy, because I find lots of cracked blocks and heads...........
