Like OldF20, I use a press too, although mine is only a 20 ton. I made a fixture that will hold the engine block upside down in my press without having to remove the studs. Using this fixture I am able to press out piston and sleeve together and then press the piston out of the sleeve.
Here is a picture of it in use on a 10-20 engine. I turned a puck on my lathe to fit the bottom of the sleeve and then cut out a notch to clear the rod, that way I am able to put force directly on the bottom of the sleeve. I have used it to press out sleeves of F20, F30, 10-20 and even a 22-36 engine. It works pretty good and I have never broken a block although I have almost maxed out my 20 ton press while getting the sleeves to break loose!!
