Could well be as I had to have heard it from someone and since I was the only mechanic at the dealership within two months of starting there and learned about it later than that I think it came from IH rep. I just looked at my 45 H, 52H and 50 M this morning and they all have the two close marks. I know the 45 came with a magneto but dad had it changed to battery ignition within two years, other H of course batt ign. M, I just assume it came with batt ign. At any rate, I will surely continue to time any mag's on those to after top dead center.
