Resistors should be available at any parts store, they are installed on the wire from the power source to the coil. They can be mounted on the frame or anywhere it is convient. Are your new points showing signs of burning or is your coil getting hot? If they are it is an indication that a resistor is required, if not you may not need one. Missing under load could also be some crud in the hign speed side of the carb., or maybe you got a shot of bad gas. Hope you get it running soon.
