wellcome to the club this is where they crack I have an A that was like you describe I ground the area to get it super clean then put a layer of fiberglass resin on and then a piece of cloth more resin and then another piece of cloth has been in use for 12 yrs on a 1 row cult have even done 6A of sweet corn one year cult three times no sign of a leak if crack was deeper follow other guys suggestions have one with worse crack used JB it works go for it and good luck
