I agree with Janicholson : your shift rail is stuck; you will need to take off the top cover off(which houses the shift rails), and free up the 1st/rev rail. When you take the cover off you will be able to shift the gear easily. Just be sure after you free up the rail, you put the shift forks back where they belong, when you drop the housing back on. Mark
