If you have a decent dealer, they can tell you.
If you have a microfiche set, it has a master parts index. Which book/card it appears on/in is listed for each part number. You then go to that book/card and find exactly where and on what machine the part is used.
If you have a stack of old parts books, start looking through the indexes (or is it indicies?) until you find a book it's listed in. It's likely a part for a tillage tool.
John Deere's online parts lookup allows anyone to find what machines a certain part number is used on. CIHNHFIATCO's doesn't.
