On my loader tractor I have some retreads with implement tread on 7.50-16 10 and 12 ply steel belted truck tires which our local ag tire dealer has made up somewhere. I had all kinds of flats due to thorns when cleaning up some brushy areas when I retired and moved back to the farm 12 years ago. I have never had a problem since putting them on my tractor. I had a brand new pair of regular tri-rib tractor tires before them which were very thin between the ribs and very prone to punctures from thorns. The only problem with the implement tire tread is when making tight turns as they will tend to scoot on the ground more so then a ribbed tire. The last front tractor tires I have purchased were Firestones but I believe they are no longer made in the USA for the size I got for a Super C. I have been trying to find some new wide floatation tires for my New Holland 311 hay baler made in the USA but they have been very difficult to come by as everything I've found so far is foreign made, Hal.
