We bugged out down 92 (very nice views) and are in Fairview this evening. I forgot which engine series (or what it is out of? The area near the water outlet is most likely the coolant temp sensor. One for sure way is to heat it up in a pan while checking its resistance. if it goes from on to off at about 210F it is fan control. if it changes resistance in a linear fashion with the temp rise it is hooked to the CPU, or the dash temp gauge. I'll be on line some, so get back. Jim
