A battery powered coil ignition only draws like 4 amps and a Mag (subject to mags specs and RPM) is probably even less, so 20 or less gauge would likely work fine, although Id still want a big enough stranded wire just for its strength and flexibility. Stick a 16 gauge on if you like it will for darn sure have plentyyyyyyyy of ampacity but also be fairly strong.
