Thanks Pete, you were right about a restriction. I was going to get rid of the couplers & just run the hose from the factory spool to the ram. The ram is brand new, but the threads are npt, same as the hoses. No idea where they came from, but used couple npt swivel fittings. I removed the lines from the rams, noticed oil spraying out fine mist. Took out the swivel fittings, they have a made in restriction. The hole is about the size of pin. No wonder the ram was slow, & system was overheating. Installed the hose without npt fittings, ram goes up/down like its suppose to. Can even lift the tires off the ground. I find nothing tougher to fix than a self induced problem. Thanks again Pete, gave me something to look for.
