Measuring the cylinder, and getting the rings off of the pistons is next. If they are good, maybe just a glaze break and rering . Measurement is the key to knowledge. Having the head cleaned and new valve seals put on would also be best practices. Any out of round, or taper measured just where the top ring stops its travel. .004 taper is probably max allowable. Out of round at .002 is too much. Use proper bore measuring gauges and micrometers, not a caliper. Jim
