Western and SW Colorado is a great place to visit. Much better than the high priced "ski areas" like Aspen, Vail, etc. One of my favorites is the Gunnison/Lake City/Creede areas, especially Lake City. Also just north of you on the Grand Mesa. First visited the Grand Mesa back in 1961, but did not get back there until about 9 or 10 years ago. I do not like the crowded areas nearly as well.
