I like the western slopes better than the eastern slope. I guess that is because Denver is on the eastern slope. Delta I was over in the Cortez area a few years ago. What a view there. Nice valley through there. Was also since then through from I-70 over to Grand Junction. Then across US-50 over to 114 to Saquache, and down the gun barrel to Monte Vista. Then back up through there. All in the winter.With an air seeder 12 feet wide. I had to wait for them to open the passes. The first trip I went out over La Veta pass. The trip around the Reservoir on snow pack al the way. Came back the next day was all clear to the pavement.
