Be sure you have the Delco-Remy # on your generator so you get the correct one I get mine from CarQuest as they are USA your gen# should be a 1100501 IF its original if its an 1101423 or 1101355 its a three brush and takes a different one. You never know on an old tractor just what someone has changed and a gen is not always a gen as they did make changes and who knows what has been changed over the yrs. Hope this helps. I just got a reg for the 501 gen for my Cub from CarQuest and it works just fine
