mkirsch, I couldn't agree with you more. I 100% support each persons right to choose how they want to restore/repair/refurbish their tractors.
I choose to go "factory correct" or "dealer correct" as a choice, not a requirement. I also tend to be disgusted with those who scold or turn their nose up for anything not 100% "correct".
At the end of the day, I always put the following statement in answers to questions around originality: "depends upon what you want to do".
At the end of the day, if someone wants to go "correct", good for them.......and equally good for the ones who want to keep Dad's or Grandpa's updates....both are fine in my book.
