THe pistons would measure that small if measured at the ring lands. (where the rings are located. To get a good size measurement, it is necessary to measure on the skirt below the rings, looking for a maximum real diameter. Also reasonable is to use long feeler gauge blades with the piston in the hole, (no rings). I use .0015", .002", .0025", .003", and so on up to .0085". More than this might be found in a hotrod but not a tractor. the pull force on the feeler when checking this way is about one pound of force. The thicker the gauge the more force needed as they are flat and the cylinder is circular. It would not be reasonable for the piston to be assembled with .0625+ clearance. It would not operate. Jim

Today's Featured Article - Hydraulics - Cylinder Anatomy - by Curtis von Fange. Let’s make one more addition to our series on hydraulics. I’ve noticed a few questions in the comment section that could pertain to hydraulic cylinders so I thought we could take a short look at this real workhorse of the circuit. Cylinders are the reason for the hydraulic circuit. They take the fluid power delivered from the pump and magically change it into mechanical power. There are many types of cylinders that one might run across on a farm scenario. Each one could take a chapter in
