Looked at three SH operators manuals. Number 1004288R2, dated 6-19-53 shows the 20-0-20. Manual number 1004371R1 dated 6-30-54 shows the D-O-C. Another 1004371R1 dated 7-30-54 shows the D-O-C. Some pictures IH used are not to reliable on time period correct. But since the D-O-C gage just started being used I would think if they were in a mid year 54 manual IH was using some on some 54 model SH. Probably if you have a SH made before march 54 to be safe side, it was the 20-0-20. After that whatever you think. Also maybe both types were used near the changeover.
