Are you sure you got this all right? Case just ran a bunch of ads in all the farm papers a couple years ago doing the gas cap recall again. This was a new program, not in the '80s.

And, wasn't the problem that the old caps didn't vent, casing a pressurized gas tank under the right (wrong) conditions? If you took the cap off on a hot day with a hot engine, you would have depressurizing gas vapors in a hot enviornment. NOT good.

At least that was my understanding of all that was written about it in the past 5 years in my magazines.
