Well got to looking at this assembly and found the manifacturing short cuts. The worst is the dowel pin that rides in the slot of the casting the shift lever mounts to, the casting is much to soft and wears. Plan on having made a new shaft that will mount a pair of 5/16 pieces of keystock in place of the pin, with a greater bearing surface the wear and slack will be eliminated. The 2nd pin that operates the 3 shift lever links will be changed to a longer one and the shaft oversize to take up the wear on the arms. CIH wants $500 for their upgrade kit and I can do it for maybe $150. Just replaceing that casting is $300 and it will wear out again. IF not oversize I will use a 3/4 piece of crome plated hyd cylinder shaft. So far nobody has posted about this to me and I would appreaciate any help offered. Also would like to know of any other IH tractors that used this shifter kev
