I'm a fan of the 84 series tractors, especially the later ones with the H shift pattern. A 684 like mine is a nible tractor with plenty of power for what you mention and same goes for a 784 or 884. Good hydraulics, easy on fuel, available parts supply and they should be in your price range. I know that some people don't care for a utility model but its always nice to have options.
