The TA clutch is either worn so as to not provide any lockup, or the disk is disintegrated. The TA clutch is in the front of the TA, and behind the master clutch. If the tractor pulls well, (though in TA reduction, the master clutch is OK) You can see into the housing from the access cover to get a look at it (IIRC) shreaded lining material is going to be clearly visible, as would a thin and worn TA disk. Using it (If it never kind of shifts into direct when not ubder load) probably won't dammage it more. If it does try to use direct, it might be best to fix it before needing more expensive parts. The only adjustment issue is to make sure the TA clutch is not being held in the reduction position from frozen release shafts or bearings. If the TA release bearing cross shaft is not turning when the lever is put forward, (and it stuck) that might be it. Jim
