DK44H, I live in Milford, Ne just 20 west of Lincoln. The "sidehill" handle dates back to 1976. I had just got out of college and still wanted to farm but my dad only had about 400 acres. We ended custom farming 13 pivots for a total of 1800 acres in the southwest corner of Nebraska. We were 28 miles from the Kansas State Line and I mile from the Colorado State Line. The 4 closest towns were 28 to 34 miles away. We had to drive 4 miles to our mail box and since this was long before cell phones we had to drive 6 miles to the nearest phone. Even now unless you have a car phone putting out around 5 watt of power you can't get reception in a lot of places with your pocket phone putting out just .25 to.50 Watts. The ground was all sandhill pasture land that was broken up and had pivots put on to grow corn on. Some of the ground was very rough so my dad and I bought 1 -John Deere 6600 and 1 - John Deere 6600 SideHill. I drove the SideHill and that became my C.B. handle and it has stuck ever since. My real name is Gary Eberspacher
