Have a 47 Super A that the Fan Belt is starting to be a bit loose. I currently have the radiator off and while it was off I wanted to Tighten the fan belt. I see where there is a nut on the back side of the bracket (between bracket and engine) and also another nut on the fan side of the bracket. I tried to get a box end on the nut on the back side of the bracket to no avail. I did try to loosen the nut on the front side of the bracket and got some movement but did not want to force it. Is the nut on the back side a captive nut and the one on the front side what is intented to be used for tightening and loosing the fan assembly? I do have two manuals on the Super A, but neither one addresses this. Marvin in Wet Western Washingotn
