I ordered main crank shaft and rod bearings for my 460 here. The number 3 main crankshaft bearing has a wider side flange than the one I took out and I am not able to get the new bearing to slide in around the crank. The number 1,2 and four go in fine. I checked my clearance with plastigage on the new bearings at .oo2". The bearings I took out are standard size so that"s what I ordered back. I did see in the I&T manual that apparently they changed the thrust bearing surface from 3 3/4" to 4"on later models but the diameter on the new bearing and the old bearing are the same. The only thing I see different is the side flange. My question is, why does the thrust bearing not fit? Thank You.
