You indicate you have the high low charge switch on your H. What that switch does is ground the field of the generator. On low charge it goes through that resistor on the back of light switch. Oh high charge and with lights on the switch grounds the fields directly to ground . So, the switch has to make good contact to the cover, cover has to make good contact to the box in order to complete the connections. Most likely when you replaced the fuse you no longer have a good connection from cover to box. Stick your pocket knife blade between cover and box to see if that makes it charge. If so, you have found your problem. Then clean up the cover and box for contact. I often times run a ground wire from the light switch to a good ground to eliminate all those crappy connections.
