Standard electric equipment for a 50 M was a relay or cut out to serial number 229910. 229911 and higher which was built in may was a voltage regulator. If nothing was changed the voltage regulator mounted on the rear fuel tank support and the cutout on the generator. If I remember correct the ones with a regulator have a fuse holder button in the gage box cover and the cut out doesn't have a fuse accessed from the outside of the box.
