Cause of weak belly pump warn fears, warn body ,bad bearings, and bad relief valve. these pumps came out with bushing for the gears then needle bearings, get read of the needle bearings and but in bushings back in, bishings need to fit tight needle bearings not good. Should have only a few thousands clearence between gears and body check with feler gage. if the relief valve is bad this well cause low pressure a good pump will put 1000psi. the check valves will not cause low pressure just not hold load up. There was a way to put on a live pump in front of the distributor and use the valves in the belly pump by tahing out the gears and adding a case tube fitting where the shaft came out the back of the pump but dout if you can get that any more then just use the belly pump for res. and control.
