Hey t-bone, they were available with a cable operating a fork on the compound constant mesh gear on the countershaft. You could also get them with a lever. The M&W lever came out through the right side of the transmission while the Hiesler came out of the left side. I would guess that about 75% of the parts in the nine speed are IH original.
