This past spring I replaced the standard steering on my IH350U with a power steering unit salvaged off of another IH350U. I haven't had much time to work with it this past summer for other irons in the fire, but now that its cold and frozen outside, I figure its time to stand out in the weather and work on it :-( Anyway, I'm loosing my HyTran. There is a pipe plug up near the top of the column, on the backside, toward the driver, but way up under the cowling. This seems to be where the leak is. I pulled the cowling, sealed the threads on plug with pipe tape. Still leaks! Pulled the cowling again, and it appears the leak is coming from what appears to be a vent hole on one of the four flats of the plug. Is this truly a vent hole that is there for a reason, or is this just a hole in a rusted out or poorly cast pipe plug? Thanks, Gadget
