I have a H and I haven't had to use them in a while but I have tire loaded as well as 4-5 weights on each side if needed. You can possibly find a set of chains for a ford 5000 with hy crop or a Belarus. They have the same size tires on them as the H. It is possible to get by with out them but on a farmall you have to push the snow with the front so you might ned the extra traction.
