Well anything over 70 degrees is considered HOT and trust me on this as i have set a lot of valves in my time . The big thing about getting a good valve set is paying attention to as i call it bridging , this is where the rocker arm meets the valve stem . IF you look closely you will see that the rocker arm does NOT hit dead square on the valve stem so you have to get your feeler gauge in the ware area if you just stuff the feeler gauge in covering the whole rocker arm and do the set you ain't even close . Now if you want it to where this is all you have to do then ya need to have the rocker arms refaced and that will last for a few valve sets and your wright back to square one again. I use a small feeler gauge and get it set on the ware area and do the set and once they are all done i go back over it a couple times as you will always find a couple that just are not wright.
