yes bob is correct, the brgs will be stamped with undersize #'s such as .010 .020 .030 and some even say standard right on them. another thing you can do is use plastiguage to measure the clearance as it is a lot easier for beginners than trying to read a mic. put the green stuff in 3 positions in cap and install and torque to spec, then remove cap and read measurement. ideal would be .0015 but I would not be turning a crank unless it was around .003 clearance at it max. spot. do this with the old brg. and then the new one. get the idea? these slow turning engines will run forever without being machined to new spec's. and also the rods need to be resized also, as its just as important as doing the crank. they go hand in hand.
