The M&W clutch was designed to give a live PTO, do not use it for changing gears. The clutch gives the same effect as jacking one wheel off the ground by letting the differential turn. We had them on both H and M models and there were quite a few others around. We did not experience the troubles quoted below, quite possibly because we maitained them as described on the cover plate. I did make a good bit of pocket change repairing them for people who refused to grease, or adjust them them periodicly.
