Had some plows that proceeded the 311 with that type gauge wheel support. Don't know if some 311 did also. 311 ones I had didn't have the U at the bottom. My 311 measures 4.25 center to center of the bolt holes for mounting the gauge wheel bracket. Pretty sure one of the 34-30 plows I had also was 4.25 centers. It also had the U shaped wheel support. Reason I think they had the same bolt spread was I used the 30 mounting bracket on the 311 once when the hub bearings went out until I fixed the 311 one. Had to put spacers between the bracket and the plow frame though. On the 30 it bolted in the beam recess and extended ahead of the beam. 311 was straight and flat there.
That's toward the front of the plow. Have saw some 311 with a gauge wheel beside the rear bottom.
