If you keep the graphite throwout bearing lubed with the cheapest garbage grease (so the oils separate out and soak into the graphite), they work every bit as well as a roller/ball style throwout.
You normally don't spend a whole lot of time holding the clutch pedal down. If you do it may be worth it to upgrade to a roller/ball style.
