I would rebuild the sediment bowl first. The kit is only about 6 bucks. To shut off the gas then screw in until it stops. Those pieces are brass so do not over tighten. Rule of thumb for gas on is all the way out then back in 1/2 turn. Rebuild the carb if it needs it and DONT BUY A CHEAP ONE!
