Hi, the 74 series tractors had a special pins for the top link and a top link that had a cat 1 pin hole on one end and a cat 2 pin hole on the other end. So you just reversed the top link to hook to a cat 2 or cat 1 implement. The cat 2 pin had a step down to cat 1 and 2 holes for pins, 1 to use in the top link bracket and one to use when connected to a cat 2 implement. The cat 1 pin had a step up to fill the cat 2 hole in the top link bracket when attached to a cat 2 implement.
